Fundraising Effort

Step by Step 2 Russia Button

Jackie @ Coins in the Couch has another blog all about their adoption which is going to be in Russia! How awesome! As you may know, adoption, especially out of the country can be very costly so Jackie has come up with a way to help fund it creatively.

She is selling her homemade one of a kind notecards as a way to bring in a little extra income.

You'll find each design available on the sidebar of her blog. If you are interested in purchasing a set of note cards to help fund their adoption, please visit her blog You can let her know which set you would like and the initial you would like stamped on the cards.

The price will be listed with the set on the sidebar. For those that live nearby, they can arrange a time to pick them up, and for those further away, there will be a $2.00 shipping cost. All the note cards come with envelopes and each card/envelope will have a clear protective sleeve.

Please note that each of these cards is unique, and no two will match perfectly. The buttons may be different on one than another.... but that is the beauty of handmade! :-)

Thanks in advance for supporting our adoption!!
Jackie

In support of her efforts, would you all be so kind to grab her button and help get the word out? Jackie would be so very grateful!!!

Ok,everybody, spill the beans......

Ok,people....I'm not perfect! I've been getting quite a few emails praising me and asking how do I do it all and I feel as though I may not be expressing my household financials enough lately so let's get down to the "nitty gritty" shall we....

I'm a full time working mom of 3 trying to cut costs any which way I can and earn some extra money so that I don't deprive my children of anything and let me tell you, as they get older, they tend to get more expensive!

With me being out of work the past 6 past weeks, I've really had to learn to stretch the budget to make our savings last and I'm grateful that I had the surveys such as cashcrate bringing in that little bit of extra income that I allotted for "splurges" (to say the least)for the kids. I also would like to take this chance to thank all my readers who click on my ads or sign up under my referrals as I post them as you all been a great help in my time of need as well:) Blessings to you all!

Now on to confession time...I spend *GASP* about $75- $100 a week on groceries mostly. Sometimes more on rare occasions. And yes, that's with coupons. These days there is no way I can walk into a market and buy milk, bread, eggs, butter, cereal for under $20 (at least not on sale)

While I do stockpile, we've definately depleted that the past 6 weeks! And no, I don't live on a farm so no I cannot pick "fresh" eggs or "milk" my own cow and I refuse to feel guilty about it! I live in the city and I like it, I have a variety of stores that are very convenient to me, goodness, if we went to Linvilla Orchards (farm) that would be a 2 hr drive which would not be worth it. Besides, I find, the farm prices are a bit outrageous (down here at least). While I do support farms wholeheartedly, its not the best option for me although we will be going for an outing this summer to pick berries!

I do bake bread, we have an awesome bread machine! But I don't make bread everyday, only on occasions which makes it that much more appreciated as the girls consider it a treat (imagine that, lol). I cook almost everyday (or hubby does:)and yes I give my kiddies all kinds of goodies to eat. My kids don't like veggies but do eats fruits. I don't prepare wholesome breakfasts with juice and fresh fruit (have u seen the prices of fruit these days!!??)My kids are just fine w/ a bowl of cereal or eggs and pancakes. I do try to make weekends our big "breakfast days" compared to the hectic weekday b-fasts to balance it out.

Dinners can be as casual as eating breakfast for dinner on some nites that mommy is tired (kids love it!)and we all don't sit at the dinner table to eat our meals. Everyone has their own place they migrate to eat whether it be at the table or in front of the tv.

Ok, I think I may have spoken too much now but I wanted to let you all that I am just as real as my readers and I don't pretend to be Ms. June Cleaver or Martha Stewart!

Now that I've confessed, its your turn! C'on, I don't wanna feel like I'm the only bad mommy out there who does these things! Make me feel better!!!

Rite Aid Bonus Deals!

Chrissy emailed:

FYI.. with the Infusium.. at my Rite Aid, I found a BONUS pack.. there was one package left in my store... it had two full size bottles for the price of one so if you're lucky enough to find these at your store, you'll actually get TWO bottles free! :D My crest toothpaste also had a bonus with it... free samples of Glide and I believe it has something else in it too, but I'm in hiding from my two year old right now so I can't go look :P

(Thanks Chrissy!!!)

Free Sample Enfamil!

ShopRite Deal 7/6

Chrissy emailed:

Entenmann's products are all on sale for $1.99 from July 6th-July 12th, Sunday to Saturday.

There is a internet coupon for .55 and Shoprite doubles it. That makes it $1.10 off of the $1.99 price. Not bad for a cake that is usually over $5. This sale is only once a year at Shoprite and with the rising cost of flour and everything this will probally be the last time.

Printable here.

Great Find Chrissy!! Thanks so much!! Woohoo, Entenmann's here I come!!

Online Coupons and Codes

I love shopping on line. It offers convenience and there is usually ALWAYS an online code for whatever you are looking for- which is great the frugal minded like ourselves.

Knowing where to look to get the best on line codes for some great deals can be as easy as googling up the specific store or finding a 1 stop shop place which has all the codes you could possibly want in 1 convenient place. One such place is FindSavings.com where the name says it all! They have every store you can imagine and is an excellent resource for all you on line shoppers!

I love the fact that it is easy to navigate around and has the coupons differentiated by what's popular and what is soon expiring so that you won't miss a great deal!

You have 6 choices by which to search:

New Coupons
Popular Coupons
Expiring Coupons
Store Directory
Coupon Type
Coupon Categories

One of my faves, is the Coupon Type Selection. This is where you can easily find what type of online code you are looking for whether it be free shipping only or products that offer rebates. I personally love the Free Gifts Coupon Type. Hey, if your gonna buy something online, why not get a free gift too, lol! When you click on this selection, they will show you what vendors are offering Free Gifts with your order! I never knew there were so many out there!!

The site is Free of course and you can sign up to any of their RSS feeds for any particular selection that you are mainly interested so that you can be up to date on the codes just as soon as they come so you won't miss a bargain!

Now you'll never have an excuse to be without a code and even more importantly, you have an excuse to shop online, ahem, the Free Gifts.......need I say more??

Here is just a sampling of what they have to offer:

Kmart
Old Navy
The Children's Place
Walmart
Shutterfly
